Would this be too much volume?

I first planned on doing the regualr bill starr program, the advanced one. I had tremendous strength gains on this program. But then i found a bill star program i think thats more suitable for an athlete. The thing is i also want to include in plyos and agility work.

    so my split would be:

    sunday- Plyos
    monday- Bill Star program
    tuesday- agility/speed work
wednesday- Bill Star program (this is a light day on the program)
    thursday-Plyos
    friday-Bill Star Program
    saturday- off

original bill star program (advanced)- http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow...odized_5x5.htm

the changed bill star program (the first one)- http://deepsquatter.com/strength/archives/manrodt4.htm

if i did the modified one including the plyos and agility work, will this be too much on my cns and will i be overtraining?
I give reps away, like it's the holidays ;)

try it and see how your body responds... IMO it would be tough for anyone or anything other than your body to tell you if thats too much or not.

Put speed and agility on Sunday if you can, after plyo's.

You are risking CNS overtraining otherwise.

Otherwise it's a very good schedule.

I think you'd be better grouping the 2 on one day if that's possible. Could you train twice a day? This would allow for full days of recovery.

bump, sorry for the big bump, but i decided to have plyos on the same day as my workout. So should i go plyos right before lifting? or have them separated about 8 hours? It would go Mon- Bill Starr and VJB Wed- Bill Starr Fri- Bill Starr and VJB.

i certainly wouldnt do plyometrics more than once a week. I was doing it twice a week and wrecked my knees. Havnt squatted or deadlifted in over a year. If you can get away with it, go for it. But sometimes it isnt worth the risk.
