Why Almonds?
I've noticed that when nuts are involved in keto and other low carb diets, it's always almonds that are recommend. I was curious and looked up the calories and nutrition break downs and compared it to peanuts, and noticed that the differences are just about neglible (assuming the info I read was correct) so I was curious as to whether there was a reason almonds are more commonly recomended?
I'm more a peanut man, myself.

I like them
Only 1 net carb per serving (22 pieces), lots of fats and taste awesome!

Peanuts are comparatively high carb. There are other nuts like walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, brazil nuts etc which are low carb, but almonds are the tastiest of those.

Yes. Peanuts and peanut butter is comparatively high carb, and you normally get it salted so it's even more addictive. I can eat a jar of PB with a spoon, that's way over my carbs.

Heres a nice snack, take:
ziplock bag of walnuts
nutmeg
cinnamon
all spice
3-4 packets of splenda
shake all in baggy, and enjoy. It taste great, just don't eat too much, I can easily get through a whole giant bag which is about 120g of fat!

I'd be wary. Sometimes companies tweak their labels to appeal to low carb or low fat dieters. Unless the nuts are different in some way to ordinary peanuts, I'd assume they have a similar carb count.

Cashews!!!!! Greatest nuts of all time, unfortunatly lots of carbs in them =(
I had to tell my mum to stop buying them. Id walk past the carboard and grab maybe 2-3 cashews out of the packet and walk off. A few seconds after eating them id run back clawing for the packet and eat them all!! :***(

ALMOND butter all the way!!!
When I am not carbing up, i like to indulge on a jar of almond butter. However, I have only been able to find one variety (from a local health store) that is natural - no salt, no additives, no palm oil, and also low in carbs.
