my first show pics
These are a few pics from the morning of my show. I competed in the Golds Classic in Wilmington, NC. I won the light heavy weight class at 180 and then took the overall. I also won the side show they have for local residents. I really couldn't have had a better day. Let me know what I can work on for next year. Thanks!

Thanks a lot ya'll!!! Yeah, it was a tough last few weeks getting ready for the show, but it really paid off. I had a coach this time around and it really made a huge difference in my contest prep. I just hope that I can keep it up.

excellent job bro! superb conditioning!
the only thing i would focus on now...if I was at your level, would be to pack on more SIZE because you've already got the striations and conditioning down to a 'T'. Now just pack on the mass and compete super heavy next year! Good Luck bro.

I was there for the night show. You were ripped without a doubt. I was hoping you would get the overall, but I wasn't sure because that heavyweight was one thick dude. You definitely had the package. I am pretty critical, and I couldn't find much to critique! Congrats.

Thanks again for all the kind words. Yeah, I am enjoying getting to eat, work out to the fullest and pack on some more size. I want to see if I can come in bigger next year.
Thanks Taxguy! I didn't think anyone on here would have been at the show. Yeah, the heavy weight had me by about 40 pounds. I knew I wasn't gonna out size people so I had to be spot on when it came to my conditioning. Luckily I timed it all right.

Thanks again everybody!
For Dannyboy and Mr. Cunningham:
Water - starting about a week out I tried to really flush the body with fluids. I was trying to get between 2 and 3 gallons of water a day. Then starting Wed night before the show I cut the water. My only water was a few ounces with my shakes.
Diet and cardio - Started 8 wks out with a clean diet and 30 mins of cardio each day and twice on non-lifting days. Then each week I checked in with my coach and we altered my diet and cardio from there. Nothing too crazy. After the first week we dropped all fruit, except post-workout shake. 2 weeks later dropped after 4 pm carbs and upped cardio to 40 mins. 2 weeks later cut the rest of my carbs in half and kept the same cardio structure. Did this until the week before the show. I hope this helps.

Thanks NY, Mr. Beginner and Siersy.
Siersy - I weighed around 200-205 when I started dieting down. In the pics I weighed around 180. I'm now back up to about 205-210. It's crazy how your body bounces back after the contest!
