There was a really good link about what numbers mean

that I can't seem to find via search. I was reviewing my #'s from 2004

4/22/2004
test f + t 345 ng/dl - ref range 400 to 1080
sex binding glob 22 nmol/l - ref range 13 to 71
test free 76.2 pg/ml ref range 47 to 244
test f + t (% free test) 2.2% ref range 1.6 to 2.9
fsh @ 21.7
lh @ 9.6

and I'm not really sure what it all means other than my T was low and estrogen was high. Anyone know what link I'm talking about?

I was prescribed Androgel at this time, but never pursued it as I didn't feel depressed or bad in any way. I realize now @ age 24 how big of a role hormones play so I am getting retested on June 11th and hopefully at that time will be able to devise a plan with my doctor to get the issues corrected, but I am hopeful to review that link that has more information on what the test results mean. Thanks if you have the link I am referring to or any comments/insights about the test I had in 04 - I'm basically tryin to find out if my numbers are the same/similar to that of 2004 - how will that effect my ability to lose weight? make muscle gains? retain muscle gains, etc...and how hrt will benefit me in that department.

Your test shows me you are primary meaning your testis are not making enough testosterone. I say this because the LH and FSH messages that tell your testis to make testosterone are very high. This means your brain sees your T levels are low and is sending more LH and FSH to your testis to make more.
I don't see your Estradiol when you retest get these tests done.

This is taken from Dr. John's site at www.allthingsmale.com in TRT: A Recipe for Success.

? Total Testosterone
? Bioavailable Testosterone (AKA "Free and Loosely Bound")
? Free Testosterone (if Bioavailable T is unavailable)
? DHT
? Estradiol (specify the Extraction Method, or "sensitive" assay for
males)
? LH
? FSH
? Prolactin
? Cortisol
? Thyroid Panel
? CBC
? Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
? Lipid Profile
? PSA (if over 40)
Here is a good link about low T and high E2.
http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_h...n_therapy.html
This link shows you levels by age.
http://www.natural-hrt.com/andropause04.html
Bottom line is you need to get your TT and FT levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range and to keep your Estradiol "E2" down between 10 to 30 pg/ml best at 20.
