Low calorie 60/20/20 on EC and CREA while lifting heavy and doing cardio
27 year old, 175lbs, 15-18% BF (accurate).
Looking to cut belly fat- this is the only real problem area for me.
On EC (24:200, twice daily) and creatine-- drinking lots of water!
Lifting heavy (5x5) and doing cardio daily.
Is there going to be a significant amount of muscle loss if I reduce my caloric intake but keep my protein high (at least 60%) and ensure clean macros at approx 60/20/20? I want to go approx 800-1000 calorie deficit most days.
I only want to cut about 5 lbs of fat fast (under two weeks for sure) and then cut an additional 5 lbs a little more slowly as I'm sure it will get harder after that and atrophy will increase once body fat becomes more depleted. I wouldn't want to continue the above for more than the first 5 lbs or so and then I'd go to a more traditional 500cal deficit for the remainder. 5 lbs of BF loss should put me at around 14-16% BF.
