    Weight to reps??

Just wondered what people would advise as the best way to do the reps?

    For example....

Five sets- Each set lowering the weight

Five sets: Each set increasing the weight

    Or

Five sets: Keeping the same weight each time??

Apologies for all the crazy noob questions and thanks for any answers

keeping the weight the same. add small weight increments each workout. this is the best combination of simplicity and effectiveness for progressive overload and its pretty much the basis of any novice program (starting strength, candito's linear, stronglifts etc). ramp up sets (increasing the weight during between sets) and back off sets (the opposite) arent really useful for a novice and make training more complicated than it has to be. this is asssuming youre a novice/beginner.
