The all natural peanut butter diet ...

Basically using a multivitamin + peanut butter and whey throught out the whole day... as far as i remember 55-38-8 split on protein, fat and carbs respectively...

Im seriously thinking about giving this a shot, obviously it is a ketosis style diet.. never been in ketosis mode so have no idea how i would react to it, however i think it's worth a shot and the diet is real easy to follow + i have a **** load of whey i want to use up..

    What do you guys reckon?

Quite an old topic dude.... Seems popular, made a sticky & plenty of solid results..

But still unsure to be honest.. i see a heap of positives

    -increased testostrone
-trying out ketosis on my body as i've never been through it
    -cost effective
    -time effective
    -decently filling

however downs are simple i don't how i would feel mentally knowing that im consuming so much fat..

BAD idea man. You need to eat a wide variety of foods. Peanut butter is NOT filling... at ALL, i can eat a 3,000 calorie jar in the blink of an eye. Also, eating nothing but peanut butter will most likely NOT induce ketosis because it has 4g net carbs per serving. Trust me, you'd be better off doing... pretty much anything else. Think about it. "The natty pb diet" doesn't really sound like something a lot of people are doing to any amount of success.

edit: I read the link you gave. I dunno man. It doesn't sound good to me.... but if you want to try it.. ? :scratches head: Let us know how it works I guess?

why not do it for like 3-4 weeks? no harm in trying. if you pack on some weight, take a few weeks to work it off and you know that ****'s not for you.

i couldn't see myself being full off 14tbsp of PB and some whey.
I'm eating like 3000cal of real food, right now, and it's barely keeping my stomach happy.
    Still workin'

yeah, i reserve pb as a cheat food, because it's so calorie dense and NOT filling. Just a few spoonfuls is like 600 calories lol.

I agree with you. I was thinking the exact same thing.. but the results and comments i have been reading in the link have swayed my mind some what.. if i were to do it i can only do it for 12 days so im not even sure if it is worth doing for not even a whole 2 weeks.

I really don't want to make the wrong decision and back track a few weeks ...

Perhaps a norm ketosis diet would be better up my alley?

    2 questions thought..

Peanut butter on it's own is not a balanced protein. It's low on some amino acids and your body needs all amino acids to create(preserve) muscle tissue.

Plus I think it's just a stupid unbalanced, unfilling diet in general.

Ask any further questions regarding keto, IN THE KETO FORUM. Thanks....it is why it is there.
