big time over there
read this about hossein rezazadeh (oly gold medalist; WR holder in CJ and snatch i think)
In 2002 he was voted the "Champion of Champions" of Iran and was one of 16 Iranian athletes granted a badge of courage from Iranian President Mohammad Khatami. As a reward for setting a world record at the 2003 World Weightlifting Championships in Vancouver, Canada, Mohammad Khatami awarded him 600 million rials (a little more than 60,000 USD) to buy a house in Tehran. After his spectacular performance, he was offered by Turkey?s Weightlifting Federation a stipend of US$20,000 a month, as well as a luxury villa and US$10 million reward if he switches nationalities and wins gold for Turkey at the 2004 Athens Olympics, but he turned down their offers. Rezazadeh rejected the tempting offer saying, "I am an Iranian and love my country and people."[1]
they televised his wedding in IranMarge: Homer, the plant called. They said if you don't show up tomorrow don't bother showing up on Monday.
Homer: Woo-hoo. Four-day weekend

As for the gym in his home it is his private old time gym where the equipment was purchased by his father even before Pudzianowski was born. He explains that he likes to train there sometimes to go back to his roots. In some other video I saw he says that his father is his trainer to this day.
As for benching on the video he benches 100kg (225 lbs) as a warmup set. He says he goes up to 220 kg (about 485 lbs) for a set of 12 reps.
Overall yeah he is not that rich. The prize money is not that high in WSM and he never did good in the Arnold. I think the most income he generates is from his MetRx contract. Believe it or not he also sings in his brother's band (he sucks at it really bad) and recently participates in the Polish version of dancing with the stars.GET BIG OR DIE TRYIN'

Yeah I figured most of his money was with endorsements. MetRX is a huge international brand and WSM generates a worldwide audience so I bet his deal is pretty good, plus, that house is in Poland right? Well lets look at cost of living compared to elsewhere, that plays a huge factor in terms of apparent wealth.
