Okay so I went to McDonalds and got coffee the other night. I know there coffee is really freaking hot so I gave it a few minutes to cool off. Well as soon as I drank it I knew I had burned myself. I looked today and I have small burns all down the side of my tounge and on one side of my throat. It hurts so bad. Is there anything I can do to help the pain? I may go to the dr tomorrow but OMG it hurts!

I burned my mouth on McD's hot chocolate...and I couldn't do anything but wait it out. See if drinking room temp water soothes your tongue at all, but be careful, as some liquids are harder to get down with burns (think acidic fruit juices... ouch).

Never learned any methods of healing or soothing it but it takes 3 days for the tissue inside your mouth to heal.
After 1 day you'll see a difference, after 2 you should really be almost back to normal, by day three you should be completely healed.
Just letting you know what to expect.

Suck on some ice cubes until it numbs the burn. Rinse and repeat as needed.
