Job and going to the gym?

I have just started a roofing job and everyday with the physical side of the job it involves heavy lifting constantly to where i feel a burn in my arms, for quite long periods of time, would anybody suggest not training my arms in the gym or just a small amount, if so how should i train?

I would think you'd want to train at least your tri's to ensure some workload balance. I would guess that kind of work isn't hitting them the same (unless you do a lot of hammering)

There's only one way to lose weight wisely and permanently, and it's no secret. It's simple, but it's not easy: exercise and eat right, consistently.

How about a heavy and intense arm workout in the weekend?

When i first left school i started a roofing apprenticeship. Baically id carry slates and tiles up & down a ladder to the qualified roofers. Its hard work, but you will get used to it soon. Give it a few weeks without arm exercises and see how you feel after that. Chances are you will adapt to the job and want to add some arm exercises in there also
