    After workout, yes.

Simple sugars -- dextrose and maltodextrin are popular. Lactose in milk is relatively high GI.

Any sort of refined bread, pasta, or rice is high GI.

Sometimes the complexity of a carbohydrate doesn't really imply that it won't spike insulin. Cereal spikes insulin like crazy, so do pastas and it depends on the bread.

Oats > all other choices given.

Oh and again, I am a technical ass.. maltodextrin is a complex carb but with a similar GI to that of glucose

its not bad... its almost in the high GI range of foods, and depending on the fiber content it could be from 65-70ish GI. Better off with a darker whole grain/wheat bread and the ones that have all those seeds and junk in them.

some wholewheat breads can. If you have the money get Ezekiel bread. It has a glycemic index of 36. it is expensive though.

"Cereal" is a pretty broad term -- the cereal I eat is a mix of corn, oats, wheat, and rice, all whole grains. Not exactly Lucky Charms.

But yeah, super thorough. I defer to your experience/actual education in sciences (which, if any at all, is considerably more than me.)

Well even some of the most healthy cereals get absorbed very fast, especially the ones with corn and wheat and rice Cereal really isn't the best idea, processing increasing GI a butt load.
