    Ptec bench dip attachment

    Hi there,

I have a Powertec WBS and the bench does not seem to have a DIP attachment from Powertec themselves. I was wondering if anyone ever got a bench dip attachment that might have worked with the Powertec bench. I don't have much room for a separate unit and would really like to be able to utilize the bench attachement if possible. Wondering if something like this would work:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/HOME-GYM-Dip-Att...QQcmdZViewItem

    Any advice appreciated.

I've looked at that item as well. It appears to be very similar to this one from Yukon Fitness:

    http://www.yukon-fitness.com/Merchan...D/CATT/DIP-173

It may be fine for the 110 lb model in the photo but I was concerned that it would be a bit unstable for someone 200+ lbs. I sent the seller an email asking several questions including the dimensions and the gauge of steel used but he couldn't be bothered to answer me so I didn't purchase.

If you decide to try it, let us know how well it works.

It's probably fine for the 110 lb model in the photo but I was concerned that it would be a bit too shakey for someone 200+ lbs. I sent the seller an email asking several questions including the dimensions and the gauge of steel used but he couldn't be bothered to answer me so I didn't purchase.

Are you saying the BodySolid unit is the better one than the ones mentioned previously, or that the BS one was the first one that was available and the rest followed ? Does it mean any of these would likely work on Ptec bench, maybe BodySolid would be more "solid" ? Or should I try to get the cheapest one ?

    Thanks.

Yes the Body Solid was first and is probably sturdier, but it's made to fit their hole spacing. The Fitness Efficient one says it fits on any 2" tubing bench.I haven't seen one but it looks like it will work,I'd call them though.
