Married couples, and friends of opposite sex.
OK OK! I have had enough questions and now someone challenged me to write my beliefs on why I DO NOT believe that a married woman/man should have close friendships of the opposite sex. HERE IS WHAT Scott WROTE-<Could you write a blog on how if married couples only had friends of the same sex?! I'm just curious about your logic. Maybe it's just you and you're worried about temptation or lack of will power.>
Scott, I have lived all over the world and out of worst places Las Vegas, I have seen broken homes, broken families, lies, deceit, cheating wifes and husbands (with friends YES!). There is way too much mingling in this world, too much looseness, and not enough family values. People just don't care anymore. They care more about having fun, and the NOW! It's called selfishness. Scott, let me ask you - does your wife go out to a movie or dinner with another dude? If she is at all a HOTTIE, do you think he does not secretly hope that there was some way...any way...he can "get in?" Do you think for a second that when you two get into a huge fight she won't run to him? There will be crying, some wine, and bed sheets. I have seen and heard of it too many times. Now tell me...does that not bother you? Not for me... I don't need that. And, to tell you the truth, my husband provides everything I need in a guy. All of the things that I need of the opposite sex. He's my best friend, my lover, someone i can confide in 150%, we have open communication, and not an open relationship. And having friends of opposite sex just opens up your relationship to possible dangers of infidelity. I do not believe that we should confide in another person. Especially on relationship issues, hurts, needs...unless you are looking for them to provide what you are needing. Only your spouse can and should do that! America is nothing but one big broken family and the divorce rate is going up and up each year. I will not be a statistic...I care more about what movie we will take my kids to tonight than whether I should have a friend of the opposite sex. And when you are a mom, and a wife....who even has time...are you kidding me?
So temptation? My husband tempts me and I can, without any guilt, give in everyday!
Lack of will power...I have more will power in my pinky than most people I meet everyday have in their whole body.

Wow, way too long to read in the misc. If you--or your spouse--doesn't feel comfortable with you--or themselves--hanging with someone of the opposite gender, there are obvious trust and self-esteem issues present. If you have self-control, that obviously doesn't open anything up for infidelity. It's not hard to keep your clothes on.

This is a double edged sword in alot of ways its wrong to tell someone not to hang out with or be friends with whomever. BUT
From a guys point of view i would say for myself i would never be friends with a girl i didn't want to stick it to. BY friends i mean talk to on the phone, aim or hang out with. I know girls are different in alot of ways when it comes to guys they always need attention and that is and will always be in there dna. I'm not a jealous guy but i know when i have a gf that the dudes she talks to want to bang her and that is always in the back of my head. So imo if your going to get married and **** you should stay away from the oppistie sex because it always goes down roads you don't want it to. This goes 100x more if you mate is hot and if we are talking about you....
