I was willing to overlook the fact that you used "SF" when surely you meant "SOF" since "SF" refers to Special Forces, of the US Army, and not "Special Operations Forces" of which all SF, Rangers, SEALs, SFOD-D, and such, are. Even though you did so on more than one occasion.
But then you pass this bad gouge? I seriously doubt you know what you are talking about.

Every service has their ****bags that pass thru based on physical ability alone.
Force Recon, Seals, Rangers, Delta are no exceptions.
plus alotta ppl go thru Ranger/Seal/Recon training just to end up sitting behind a desk with a patch on their shoulder.
now when you start getting into Black Ops ****... there are far fewer ****bags.-= 08-18-2009 Never Forget =-

Really?
Type - What the enemy says after they show up
SEAL - "What the hell? We got messed up!!"
RECON - "How did they know that about us?"
Pararescue - "Crap, we almost had him."
Rangers - "Run! The are coming!"
They all have different missions. If you took one of each from each branch and stuck them in a cage, there is no telling who would come out. Every last one is BA.
Why did you pick rangers though? Green Beret's would have made more sense in the comparison. Either way, same outcome. They have different missions. If you need to screw someone up without anyone knowing, SEALs are your boys. You want to find out exactly how to mess them up, Recon. If someone goes down in the process, get some Pararescue in there to patch up the situation. If you are ready to just run them over, call in the masses of Rangers.

No kidding US Ranger!!
No such thing as the BEST UNIT.....
Everyone wants to sit on the computer and argue about who is the best or baddest. No such thing. Most of them couldn't survive ARMY 11B training yet alone RANGERS, SF,DELTA etc....Need I remind all of you that no single super-hooah unit ever won a war all by itself. It's a combined effort of all units of all branches. Also, regular Infantry,Airborne,Combat Engineer,Armor and Artilley have always bore 99% of the combat. Sure, Special Operations have always contributed greatly. From Rogers Rangers to Darby's Rangers. Carlson's Raiders to Beckwith's Delta Force. I have nothing but the highest respect for the Spec Ops guy's as well as the conventional forces. The bottom line is, a bullet cant tell a cook from a commando, and when it's your time to go, no amount of super-hooah training is gonna save your life..GOD BLESS ALL THE TROOPS....Specialist {E-4} 3/327th INF. 101st AIRBORNE DIVISION {Airborne & Air Assault qualified} 1988-1992..{Desert Shield/Desert Storm vet}Last edited by Varg2; 10-16-2009 at 10:04 PM.

CIA Special Activities Division.
From wikipedia...
"SAD/SOG has several hundred officers, almost all of them former members of Special operations forces (SOF) and most from the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC)[33]. These units include the U.S. Army's Delta Force, Army Rangers, Army Special Forces, Navy SEALs, Navy DEVGRU, USMC Force Recon teams, MARSOC Marines, Air Force Combat Controllers, and Air Force Pararescuemen."
"Because these officers are taken from the most elite units in the U.S. military and then provided with extensive additional training to be CIA clandestine intelligence officers and SAD/SOG operatives in all these environments, many U.S. security experts assess them as the elite of the U.S. special missions units.[35]"

I was an army ranger and training was hard but i am currently a PJ, airforce pararescue, the pipeline training to be a PJ is very tough mentally and physically and was harder then ranger school. Each special op team has their own purposes you cannot compare them, if you were to compare them through their indoctrination schools, many say pararescue indoc school is the toughest. Their is a video online that shows ex seals and ex rangers going though each of the different indoctrination schools, everyone should try to find that to get a better understanding of what each group goes through.

Wow
I can't believe that with all the military guys out there that you are forgetting one important thing... we are in this together. Even though we are all in different (elite) groups we ALL are a team. Who cares who is the biggest and baddest ever. Thats the problem we are all ELITE forces. Did you honestly join to fight for our country and our freedom or did you join just to say your a bad ass! I think that by reading this forum alot of you still have some growing up to do!
