Thanks Skip for posting up those routines.
I read your advice to start with routine 1 and work through them, but if someone wanted to try just one routine...
Out of the 13, which would you suggest is the most suitable for
1/ Beginners
2/ Intermediates
3/ Advanced
Thx!

That's an interesting question.
Let me ask you a few questions:
Does and exercise or series of exercises make a workout for beginners, intermediates, or advanced?
Or, is it the level of execution you use during those exercises?
Let take the Bench Press. Is that a "Beginner" exercise? Or, does a more advanced lifter just lift more weight with better execution? How about a Barbell Curl or a Barbell Row?
As far as volume of training goes, I don't believe beginners should do more set (although they often when they are trying to figure things out).
So, to answer your question, there is no difference in a training routine--just in the person using the routine. (Don't most people say theya re intermediate anyway?)
All of those routines are simple a set of basic, compound movements for the most part.

I belive certain routines are more suited to a beginner as opposed to an advanced lifter yes.
I do agree that all lifters need to perform compound movements for sure.

They are all equally effective. Pick one routines and just rotate to the next one after 8 to 10 weeks.
You'll see that, in the long run, they'll all lead you where you want to go.
It's all about consistency and longevity. You aren't going to make the progress you want in a just a month or one workout, it's how you stick it out over a year and several workouts.
Good luck!

Ok thank you will do that.
another question, what is your opinion on barbell rows and deadlift to get the mass on back, i know barbell rows are good but what about deadlifts, some people swear theyll get mass and some say its only good for lower back, what do you think? should i include both in my routine?

Nothing wrong with Max-OT and the 13 routines if they work for you, but bare in mind that as individuals we vary across the board and what works for one may not necessarily work so well for another.
I do perform some heavy 4-6 rep sets but I hypertrophy better in the 8-12 rep range and include some 20 reps sets.
I also find working each body part more often than once every 7 days to be better for me, typically once every 4-5 days seems to work better.
I find I do better on either 3-4 training days per week, 5 day can be bad CNS mojo for some. Not saying that it doesn't work, a lot of great physiques are built on 5 day body part splits, but it's my opinion that for others especially beginners-intermediates, 3-4 days per week can prove more effective due to more recovery time.
