Is it normal for your lower back to hurt the day or two after you do squats or deadlifts? I am using good form and it doesn't hurt when I am doing them. However, a day or two after I do squats/deadlifts, my lower back hurts when I get in my car, get in a chair, get in bed, etc.
The pain is similar to the sharp pain you would feel in your hamstring if you were to stretch it too far. I wouldn't describe the pain as soreness or DOMS because it comes and goes quickly. Then, after 2 or 3 days I am back to normal.
I am definitely not rounding my back during either excercise. Should I be concerned?

I know my back will hurt like hell, but it is due to it being worked hard, then the angle I sit at in my car, like compresses the muscles, and they tighten up, and start killing me.
Try stretching out your back frequently throughout the day, to see if that helps.-

Bro, your hips are rising much faster than your shoulders. I remember I used to do this: my legs extended too fast, so all the weight fell on my back. My squats were basically good mornings.
In both your squat and deadlift, think of rising your tailbone and chest at the same time.
Try to rep with some light weights with your eyes closed. Have someone check if your hips are rising too fast with respect to your upper body.
With due attention, you will get a feel for the movement and no more unusual pain from either exercise

You may be right. I've been trying to avoid raising my hips to quickly. I was doing good until my last two reps yesterday. What really sucks is I dropped the amount of weight I am squatting down to an embarrassingly low amount in order to learn to go ATG. Looks like I have to shed some more pride and drop the weight even lower until I get it right.

That could be the case, but now it sounds as though you've done some damage to the back. Time to find out what's going on back there and how you can remedy it.
I know it sounds weird but shaving your body hair and injecting testicle shrinking substances into your butt actually makes you less of a man.
