Sat fat is fine, you dont want High Fructose Corn Syrup.
that PB is fine, eat it and enjoy it.

All the ingredients should say is "Peanuts"
and "Salt" if you like it salted.

skippy natural has palm oil in it i believe to prevent it from seperating and a tiny amount of added sugar. I've been eating it for a couple of months now and noticed no negative changes in body composition since i switched to it from smuckers.

I like this stuff a lot too. It's easy to find at the big grocery stores and seems to be always on sale!

I went to natural PB because it doesn't have Partialy Hydrogenated Oils. I know the exrta crunchy JIF I was using before had that in it and that **** is terrible for you. Also, peanuts can absorb more bad nutrients than almost any other type of food. So any chemicals used could be in there, so organic would be the way to go. I work for this lady who has EVERYTHING organic in here house. From every fruit, to cleaning supplies, to some clothes, to every type of food, it's all organic and she was telling me Peanut Butter is on of the top things you should go organic on.

i read some other forums and heard to stay away from big name brand "natural" peanut butters because they still use "bad" ingredients... is that true??

@OP... are there Trader Joes or Stop & Shops near you in your part of NY?
Both make excellent single-ingredient peanut butters, Trader Joe's brand and Nature's Promise, and both are quite reasonably priced. The Nature's Promise is probably closest in taste/texture to the Skippy Natural, but both are delicious.

There really is not any major reason that you cannot use skippy natural. I personally eat some daily. Anyone worried about small quantities of palm oil and sugar probably should focus on other aspects of their diet as everyone should be able to fit this into their macros. It is very convenient (not needs to be refrigerated), tasty, no trans fat. Just fine IMO.
