Well, when I was 11, I competed and totalled 1500...
Nobody asked what you did when you were 15.
Edit:
Don't sweat it. It's not about winning at first, and doesn't ever have to be about winning. Just compete for the fun and experience of competing, and don't let these guys put you off.Last edited by PotKettleBlack; 05-11-2008 at 06:25 PM.

It's not about winning. You should get into powerlifting... you'll never get to the point where you're lifting tons if you don't.
You're probably doing better than most kids your age in your school. At most meets I go to there aren't that many teenage 165 lbers. Most powerlifting meets are pretty small, the last one I went to had a little over 130 people there, but if you space that out over all the weightclasses you really aren't going to have THAT much competition in any given weight class.

i think we've all learned something today, and that is:
only the people who are going to win should enter a PL meet.
/THREADIf what I see does not amaze me, I am not looking hard enough.
The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know.

if u wanna compete your going to need to get a lot stronger... not insulting you just telling you ANY guys serious enough to compete are gonna be maxing 250+ on bench, squatting 300+ and DL'ing 300+... that's on the absolute low end.
I just turned 17 im not that strong, but i'm 5'9, 135
max bench 180
max squat around 225
max DL around 240
