Should i just go Keto?
I've been cycling my carbs for a few months to good effect.
i've noticed on the low/no carb days, with training included, I shred the most.
Its usually 5%carbs(vegetables) 35%fat(nuts,pb) 60% protein(lean) for 3 days, sometimes 5, then a high carb day followed by medium carbs. I was thinking if i was in this low carb anabolic state for longer, maybe almost all the time, the effects would be greater?what is a normal Keto diet like?
or does the short term thing work as a faster cycle?

you might as well man, you are already sacrificing carbs (hardest part of keto!). now just up the fat and do moderate protein to ensure that muscle sparing action. contrary to popular belief, your body doesnt require large amounts off protein, you just need it *often* because of its ability to store it in limited amounts. drop the protein to 35-40 and up the fat to 60-65.

I say go for it. If you're looking to shred, keto is the diet. Eat your lean body weight in protein. (ie: 200lbs at 20%bf = 160. 160g protein daily) put the rest of your calories in fat.

Yeah, straight keto is much easier, both physically and for meal planning, than alternating days. You'll also find that if you are completely depleted when you start your carb-up, you'll get a huge supercompensation effect that will really make you look HUGE.

sounds good, i guess all i have to do is raise the fat intake, can i do this with good fats only, fish oils and almonds ect or will i be taking alot of saturates too? ive noticed keto folk love cheese and butter, is this because its hard to get enough fat cals from 'good' sources only?

You've gotta do some reading. You have just proved that you've done very little research on keto. While fish oils and almonds are fine, you also need a decent amount of saturated fat. They are absolutely essential for good health, enough testosterone, dense bones, fertility, and a lot of other stuff.
Cheese and butter are fine for filling the gaps, but the basic keto diet is eggs, steak, fish, chicken and veg.

Yep hardest part of Keto is getting rid of the carbs, after a while you don't crave anything so it's good. Saturated fats are good for you contrary to popular belief, but you can also get your fats from oils, butter etc.
