    can i mix creatine in my protein shake? (w/milk)

    ive been told that creatine supplement mixed with milk don't go well together, so im curious would it be alright if i mix 5 grams of creatine with my protein shake in a blender. ill be having my whey protein scoop, cup of skim milk, banana and if alright should i add creatine in there or have my protein shake and creatine some other time in the day?

    a lot of weight gainer protein shakes have creatine mixed in with the formula so i assume that it wuld be fine...if u dont wanna take the chance, is it really that difficult to take it separately?

    Actually mixing creatine with protein makes it less effective.Try to take them atleast half an hour apart.

    Creatine works best when taken with high-GI sugars, they help more of it get absorbed into the muscle.
    Protein shake is most definitely not high-GI sugars. Try fruit juice (nothing too acidic - apparently acid breaks down creatine), or dextrose powder.

    Yes you can. However If you have flavored creatine and mix it with milk i think you are asking to get a upset stomach

    A very damn good PWO shake would consist of :

    1 Scoop why protein
    300-500ml milk
    5g creatine
    80-120g oats (preferably rolled than steel-cut in this case for absorption/digestion reasons)
    20-40g dextrose / maltodextrin
    1 banana or fruit of your liking

    good god i miss bulking

    but yeah creatine post-workout is best time as your insulin will be spiked with all the carbs you are having (or should be having )
