JV..well you've got about 4 months to weight train
when i was a freshman i benched around 170 but i squatted close to 300
i wouldnt say i was strong but i was quick and i did pretty good. i averaged about 17 tackles a game and that is with 7-8 minute quarters.
don;t focus too much on bench bc that's not where your power comes from. do a lot of power cleans, hang cleans, snatches...excercises that involve more than one movement..these movements are where you build your power.
deadlifts are great too because they use more muscles than any other excerise.
As long as you work out hard, eat clean, and let your body recover in between workouts, you should be ok.
if you dont have a workout, i have a football off-season workout that brought my numbers up pretty fast. just let me know.l"no talking. talking doesn't play football. talking doesn't make you practice better or play harder."

There is more to being a good football player than lifting X lbs in whatever lift. You should just focus on getting bigger, stronger and more explosive and not get tied up in the numbers. (If you need goals to stay motivated work on improving your powerclean).
Although it may seem important now, in August the coaches will forget how much you bench and care more about what you can do on the field.✰MISC RUNNING CREW✰
