Yes I use 6 grams per day of ON's Threshold. My endurance and recovery both have went up. Cardio also seems to have improved

Depending on your training protocol it might not make that much of a difference but for most it will. If what commonly associated as the lactic acid burn is interfering with your workouts then BA should help significantly. It won't automatically or vastly improve endurance as there are too many factors at play that limit endurance.
Yes, there is indeed a deeper component to it all.
