go with how you feel but normally they let you know at least 5-10 mins ahead so you can stretch up. I pump up for bikini rounds and stretch up 10-15 mins slowly before stage time (routine) with a few moves but I don't like to over do or over exhaust.
YOu get some gals doing way to much back stage before hand, they get all this adrenaline and some I guess like to do that to play head games with the other gals by showing off some of their tricks.
Just find a corner, stick to yourself, and don't worry or pay attention to the other gals, keep focused.
