Do fitness competitors pump-up before stage?

I'm preparing for my first show but I don't know if the fitness girls pump-up like everyone else does?? Do they do it before their routines too?? What techniques are you using to pump up if so? Thanks!

I mainly just see fitness girls practicing their routines backstage. I think that provides most of them with a good pump.

Much like how I usually just get my pumps from posing. I rarely do much with the dumbells back there.

go with how you feel but normally they let you know at least 5-10 mins ahead so you can stretch up. I pump up for bikini rounds and stretch up 10-15 mins slowly before stage time (routine) with a few moves but I don't like to over do or over exhaust.
YOu get some gals doing way to much back stage before hand, they get all this adrenaline and some I guess like to do that to play head games with the other gals by showing off some of their tricks.
Just find a corner, stick to yourself, and don't worry or pay attention to the other gals, keep focused.

Thanks good tip - They would have freaked me out with all their moves !! haha I'll just worry about me and focus while quietly stretching..
