What would happen if you just ate fruit for a few days?

This might sound crazy, but I seem to have some unidentified alergic reaction....

I have continual phlegm at the back of my nose that I need to expel, and I don't eat dairy, don't smoke, don't even drink or take caffeine!

I want to see what would happen if I just ate fruit for maybe two days, as an experiment.

Someoen I know is religious. I forgot what it was.

But he was ONLY able to eat fruits and water. He lost about 15LB"s.. it was about 2 weeks long. I saw him shrivel up by the day.

Put it right back on though.

It'd be delicious! You'd probably poop a lot. You'd probably lose weight and feel tired and you'd definitely have to supplement at least a shake and some EFA's every day. Also be prepared for some GI upset...high amounts of fructose cause some upset during exercise.

Seems like you would get worse results then the velocity diet, and feel bloated to all hell from the amount of fiber from the fruits,

You would actually not feel bloated - it's only when you mix fruits with other food that you get bloated. Fruit one its own does not take long to digest. If anything, it helps get rid of bloating!

it does take longer to digest then other foods, it has a very low GI, and a good dose of fiber, some fruits digest quicker then others and some are higher in GI such as bananas, grapes, and pineapple, but some are a lot slower like apples, oranges, etc..

Fruit - especially juicy fruit - taken on an empty stomach goes almost directly into the intestines - it does not require a lot of stomach acid to break it down.

This clears up a load of valuable nerve energy.

juicy fruit and whole fruits are 2 different stories, as fruit juice is processed junk.

    2 totally different worlds there.

I heard of some crazy mass-gain diet where you protein load by eating only fruit for one day and just do cardio, and then the next day eat 2-3g protein/lb bodyweight and you grow like you're shooting steriods.
I think it's probably negligible if not total BS.
Although if it would help with IBS or constipation... *ideas*

I think it's probably negligible if not total BS.
Although if it would help with IBS or constipation... *ideas*
actually, I've read a lot of stuff about protein deprivation and how it can trigger extraordinary growth if done right. basically you eat really low protein for a period, and your body starts cranking up anabolic hormones to compensate. then you eat crazy protein, and you gain a ton of mass. I wanted to try it, but the sources all had different methods and I eventually forgot about it. was going to make a thread about it here, but I'm sure it would get no replies/lol catabolic replies.

Fruit juice from concentrate is absolute junk. Juice made fresh from a juicer - it's the best stuff in the world!

Yeah, because digestion takes up loads of energy from the nervous system.

That's because you're not meant to mix fruits with other foods! (There are some exceptions though)

Hell no, that **** is awful. I avoid it at all costs.

That said, the "Innocent" range of smoothies and juices seem to be pretty good.

I don't know how to answer this - a lot. Digestion is one of the most energy-sapping processes there is.

Check out Jason Vale's books. He talks a lot about this kind of thing.
