Newbie Routine Help

Lets answer the questions first and go from there.

Your age: 33

Your height and weight: 6'0" and 279lbs

Your Body fat % (if possible, dont just guess if you dont know): 30.1% as of this morning

How long you have been training (seriously!) Working out...1 month, training, not exactly as I have not had a real routine.

Your goals (Lose weight, gain weight, improve weak points etc etc) I would like to lose weight, get firm without bulking to much. I would like to be able to keep good hand speed and build endurance as I am in a martial art of sorts.

A breakdown of your current routine (Including split, exercises, sets and reps)
Basically, I alternate (Legs and Abs) and (Shoulders, Back, and Chest) and (Arms and Abs)

How long you have been on this same routine: 1 month

Have you made gains on this routine, and if so in what way (Heavier weights / mass) I have lost 16lbs and 3.7% BF

What is your diet like: I eat low calorie higher protein meals.

Have / are you taking any supplements and/or anabolic agents (optional) Not taking anything.

Like I said, I am brand new, wet behind the ears to working out. I am tired of being a fat guy and just looking for a good routine that will help me to build strength, stamina, and a bit of speed. I am into Western Martial Arts (Fencing to make it easy) and would like to get to the top of "my game".

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I hope I did this right.

Gotta recommend Rippetoe's Starting Strength. You can find out all about it in the stickie near the top of this forum. It's an excellent program, and it's all laid out for you. Good luck.
