Hey Guys,
This is my first venture into this section, so forgive me if this is a simple question. Im looking to make the career transition to personal training. I have an exercise science degree but not formal training certification.
what is the best and most recognized online training certification?
(online as in 100% over the internet)
thanks in advance!

In that case then id just go with NSCA, ACSM, or NASM.
no need to tack some 2nd or 3rd tier junk onto a nice looking degree.
now, you say, "totally online" cert. Youd have to look at each individual orgs website to see the testing procedure....but in this day and age one assumes one could take the test online. if not its all self study and then just setting up an appointment to go to a testing center for the test. I did that for my A+ comp cert...its no big deal and actually pretty fun."Humility comes before honor"

There's really no need for anyone to get any cert besides to get insured. Sure I have an ACSM cert but I've probably used 5 things I learned while studying for that in the real world.
You can be a great trainer and not have any cert at all. I don't even list mine, or my college degree, on my business cards. Word of mouth is larger than what your resume says.
and you can't "tack on 2nd or 3rd tier junk on a good resume" just because you take the quick route for insurance.
Like I said, a cert is insurance, if you really think getting one makes you a good trainer, you are sadly sadly mistaken.
