Do all you guys on here lift as fast and explosive as you can?
I know in bodybuilding its all about "the feel" and squeezing the muscle and makeing the muscles work and all that. But when it come to Powerlifting is it all about pushing that weight as Hard and Fast as you can?
I always train with Fast reps, for example on Military press, i push as Fast as i can on the actualy lift, then normally lower the bar slowly.
Is there any room for slow reps in powerlifting?
EDIT: Reason i ask is because i have a book by Pavel Russian name dude, and hes all about strength and power. But in the book power to the people he talks about 3-5seconds on the actualy lifting faze of the rep and 3-5 seconds of the lowering faze, which to me doesnt make sense if you want power, i always thought if its power your after then lift as fast as possible?
