If you have worked your legs enough they SHOULD be sore. When i train my legs i am unable to do any kind of training for at least 6 days after thats how sore they are. Wait till two days after the workout thats when i start feeling it the most.
When you train your legs you have to work them absolutely to failure, and you have to put them under huge amounts of stress. Here are a couple of tips:
- Sets of 8 to failiure are good but legs can handle and sometimes respond better to high reps of 10 - 15 or more.
- After the workout you should either be feeling sick from the pain and exhaustion or elated from overcomibng the challenge, or both!
- Try the pre-exhaust technique with leg extensions first. Go really heavy with full smooth motion and a couple of seconds squeeze at the top with slow negatives.
- GO HEAVY with ranges of motion.
- Make use of forced reps and drop sets.
You are only 15 so i dont expect you to do all of this yet but when you gain more experience this is what you should be aiming for, just dont stop when the pain starts mate.
