    Protein shakes make me feel sick?

    Lately I've been feeling kind of sick after drinking my protein shakes, especially on an empty stomach. It's not a very bad feeling but it definitely feels like my stomach (or liver) isn't taking the protein very well. I've since cut out my morning protein shake, and only take one post-workout, but that seems to be pretty bad as well.

    I thought it might have been the "quality" of the protein shake, but I'm not positive. Right now I'm drinking ON Whey Vanilla Chai, but sometimes I take my EAS Chocolate Protein Blend (which makes me fart like mad). The pain is more there with the ON, but is present on both shakes.

    Does this happen to anybody else?

    i had this problem before then i decided to change the flavour..

    try other flavours...vanilla have a strange taste , try chocolate..

    Maybe try different brand or even just get whey powder from the health food store. It's not your liver though, protien has no effect on the liver.
