i have a friend who is fairly skinny fat, like 5'9" 170 and minimal musculature. he wants to lose fat and i've convinced him to start lifting seriously and told him initially he will experience some noob gains (he'll gain muscle while losing fat). how would these noob gains be effected by a keto diet? it seems to me they would be amplified, because the body would be more inclined to convert fat to muscle. thoughts?
