stupid question about chicken thighs

so i really like chicken thighs. They taste better than breasts in my opinion, and have more fat, which i need in my diet. But today i saw a bag of frozen boneless, skinless chicken thighs and got it.

The usual nutrition info on them has about 160 calories 5-10g fat and 18-23g protein per 4 oz

The frozen ones say 260 calories and 21g fat per 4oz (they are perdue frozen chicken thighs). I was confused so i checked the perdue website which says 160 per 4 oz.

Did they just mess up on the bag or does 4 oz frozen boneless, skinless chicken thigh really have 21g fat.

feel free to tell me to stfu and eat

oh and should i thaw before weighing?

do the other ones have skin on? that could be the difference.

Go with the higher fat content. The ones at my store have 20-24g fat per 4oz. Some of it may come off during cooking or if you take the skin off (if there is skin on it)

21g of fat seems really high for 4oz. of skinless thigh. My 80/20 ground beef has about that much fat for 4oz.

i know thats why i was confused.

Everywhere else ive seen 5-10 g but this was the first time ive seen this. Ill guess ill go with what they say.

Oh and does anyone know if i should thaw it before i weigh it?
