Ever feel like you want to throw up after a workout?

I eat, then 45 mins later take N.O. XPLODE, but I've been starting this new training program and afterwards I am exhausted and feel like throwing up. Anyone ever feel like this? Is it a good thing?

    Not really.

I ran track and cross country in high school.

Never threw up, never felt like it unless I did something stupid diet wise, either.

Some people seem more prone than others. Also some people don't make sure their stomach is empty when they probably should.

I lift about an hour to an hour and a half after I eat. I down a lot of carbs. I'm pretty sure a pre workout meal is for burning through extra calories and giving you energy. Lifting on an empty stomach I feel weak.

I don't usually eat pre workout. 1.5-2 hours before maybe. If I do it's, say, 1/2 scoop whey in 4-6 oz of milk, maybe some juice, maybe some cheerios.

If my schedule was timed better eating a good solid meal 1.5 hours prior (finishing 1.5 before) may well work better.

I usually feel like vomiting after a very intense workout, intense being balls the wall and just a little more. Perhaps try some simple carbs pre workout, something like an apple or banana 45mins-1hour pre workout.

I've thrown up twice - both times when coming high heart rate cardio combined with weights and eating too soon before workout.

exercise related puking is (assuming you havent eaten for over an hour) is due to having too much lactic acid in your system its called acidosis. medically speaking its bad for you and in extreme cases can kill (just like anything else that throwws your body out of homeostasis). in terms of working out it probably means you were doing a good job. what does your program look like?

I had intense back day a few weeks back and ended up puking after. I usually feel a bit nauseous after a hard workout, but that was the first time I'd actually thrown up, damn deadlifts.

I did high volume of squats and puked a few weeks ago. Felt a little nauseous like that during Sunday's workout , and felt like I was floating a little.

probably means your doing too much volume. I've been on one of those retarded 30 set programs and you do feel like **** after. Like just lying down and breathing is exhausting. You dont need to do 10 sets of every exercise to get bigger...in fact it's completely counter productive, just concentrate of getting stronger and eating enough.
