Thyrotabs and Fever - HELP!
I'm on nearly three weeks of a six-week thyrotab run, and while I can tell my body temperature has been elevated, I haven't taken my temp....until today.
I started feeling feverish -hot flashes/chills- so when I took my temp, I was surprised that it read 99.8, under the tongue. Is it normal for your temp to climb that high while taking thyrotabs? I know tt's raise your temp, but is it supposed to be as much as a full degree?
I tapered up for a week, and have been taking three a day for almost the last two weeks. I occasionally stack it with either cytolean or e/c depending on if I need it.
To note, I've had fabulous results since I began my run, battling at first with the increased appetite, but with cytolean and e/c's help, I was able to nip that in the rear, and have lost 4 pounds total and am leaner than ever.
I'm just wondering if my temperature is in the normal range for a thyrotab run, or if maybe I should start taking two a day instead of three....?
Thanks for your help!!

Any thyroid hormone supplement is gonig to raise your basal metabolic rate and increase your temperature. This is one of the things thats you should expect. I do not know how much it will raise your temperature by, I think that would depend on person to person. If you are starting to feel exhausted or over heated how ever I would suggest you lower the dosage. If not, then just continue as normal. Make sure your getting alot of water in you.
I hope this helps.

Thanks! I got a response from a Gaspari rep on the Supplements board, and he said that the "normal range" is whatever I could handle.
My temp seems to be holding steady at 99.8, and other than the occasional hot flashes and chills, I feel great! I've also lost ANOTHER 1.4 pounds since Tuesday! Thyrotabs are certainly a powerful fat burner (of course it must be coupled with a clean diet and training).
I'm going to keep monitoring my temps, and if I start to feel bad, I'll lower the dosage. I only have another couple of weeks at this dose anyway before I start to taper down.
5.4 pounds total in three weeks (and that's amazing since I was already pretty lean)! Yeeeehaw!!!!!!!

If I could suggest anything, it would be to turn a fan on and drink lots of water... You will get a raised body temp from stims, especially one that affects your thyroid, and even tho you can handle it, you should still make efforts to keep it down. Fan, lots of water, you might even consider taking a tylenol before you do heavy workouts! If you feel short of breath during a workout, stop and get some cool air. You can get heat stroke if you're doing high intensity workouts with your body temp the way it is... Just pay attention to what your body tells you.

irregular heartbeats can also occur. some that can be life-threatening. If you start to have heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, or dizziness/faintness, reduce your dose and consider stopping altogether. I would also advise you to consult your family doctor.
