Flavored Coffee
Does anyone know if the flavored coffee, (like Folgers Vanilla) is bad for you during BB contest prep? I usually have one cup a day with 3 packets of splenda.

it's bad for you if you look at it from a nutritional perspective
it's good for you if you get a morale boost from drinking it
I doubt one cup a day will make a dent on your prep, unless it's a 30oz cup

Good question. Honestly, it's best to go without and splenda is not good for you AT ALL. A lot of hype lately about it. But if you have to have it, have a lil bit. I need coffee every am, contest prep or not!

oh no, what is the buzz on splenda? I use it every day as I am a serious coffee addict.
Not trying to hijack thread, sorry.

Precontest you should not use Splenda -- it's made from sugar and causes your body to respond to it like sugar.
(Still on topic but addressing the hijack! )

There is a product called Organic Zero. You could consider this substitute. It's very expensive though.

I don't think a cup of flavored would pose a problem a month to three weeks out. Two weeks out or so I would say to cut it out and stick with plain black.

On a vaguely thread-related subject, I went to a new drive-thru coffee place today called Saxby's Coffee. Guess they are trying to give Starbucks a run for their money. Anyway, they have this huge flavored latte list, like Milky Way, Snickers, etc. I was just going to have a small nonfat mocha or a cup of regular, but curiousity got me, so I ordered a Kit Kat latte with an extra shot of espresso.
Eeekkk!! Even with the added shot, it was waaayy too sweet. How do people drink those?!? I'll stick to regular from now on.
We now return you to your regular thread. . . . .
