So, girls taking fat burners, when you say you "notice a difference", what do you mean? I'm just curious as to know whether it would be beneficial for me to invest in it.

Most fat burners out there have good things in them. However, some of those things may be under dosed so you don't get the full extent of their effects.
If you plan on competing then a fat burner would probably be a good idea for you. Theres a bunch out there, depending on your diet/training/health I could have you pick a desired one.
My favorite supplements to burn fat are caffiene and ephedrine. This might not be an option for you if you are sensitive to ephedrine or have high blood pressure, or have a life style that demands alot of high intesity activity.
As far as the hydroxycut hardcore. I think there are better products to lose fat. The things that pop out to me that can helm with thermo genics are caffiene, green tea, and yohimbie. There are a few other good things in there such as salix (asprin pretty much) and black pepper. The only bad thing is you don't know the exact dosages of each of these compounds.
I hope I answered all your questions.
