Anyone here remember the angle WWE ran a year or so ago about Mr. McMahon being dead? A lot of the media outlets picked up on it... I even remember seeing a poll on the main myspace page 'is Mr. McMahon really dead' type thing. I didn't know what to believe, but then when I found out he wasn't really dead I really didn't put it past him either. I'm wondering could there be any other wrestlers that are dead, but not really dead? A guy like Benoit could pull the wool over all our eyes and then come back to be the greatest heel in wrestling history. Or a guy like Chris Candido (who just had the 3 year anniversary of his death) could come back and be the greatest matt technician of all time. Or what about Eddie Guerrero??? Do you guys think any of the 'dead' wrestlers are actually just waiting their turn like Mr. McMahon to come back to life and suprise us? And if so... who???
Elaborate.

Dead wrestlers not being really dead?
-

I'm afraid only McMahons was a work which he ended himself the night that Benoit died for real stating that on that night they were to continue the storyline of his allegedly demise but in reality, Chris Benoit, and his family had died.
McMahon is the only one still alive out of the people you mentioned. You know this. You ARE AWARE. But if you find this funny and can get a few people to play along with you then, more power to ya.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

If any dead 'wrestler' comes back ... my money is on Andy Kaufman. There's still a lot of people who believe he's alive , pulling his biggest prank of all.
We miss you Andy!

red or green 'blocks' don't make my life. I don't care about that. I just thought it was a cool discussion.

It was a dumb question , but please don't neg me for the Kaufman comment. I'm a huge Kaufman fan , and the lot of us believe , unlike Elvis , that he'll someday return.

OP, you're complaining about lack of discussion etc. But if you posted a topic like this then, seriously, did you expect anything other than to be negged to hell?
-

I really don't care about the negs... I'm not here to see how many blocks of a certain color I can obtain, lol. I just thought it would create some discussion. I forgot all about Kauffman, but that's a very good argument, and that's the nature this thread was meant to be in. Kauffman, Rick Rude, Louis Spicolli, whoever... it doesn't matter who, I just wondered if anyone here knew of anyone that might be trying to 'pull a Mr. McMahon' so to speak.

You've missed my point. I'm not saying that you're here to collect reps or negs, or care about them. What I am saying is, if you wanted to create legitimate discussion, then why make such a bull**** thread like this? You're actually suggesting that Chris Benoit, for example, would pretend to murder his own family in cold blood, and then kill himself, as some kind of publicity stunt? To return at some unforeseen later date and say, ''Oh hai guyz, dat dere homicide was a jk, im back...'' kind of thing?

I put nothing past Vince McMahon and the WWE. As absurd as it sounds... how absurd does it sound that Vince would blow up in a car and then reappear weeks later saying it was all a trick? The media was involved in that too, as I know for a FACT I saw it advertised on the main page of myspace on one of those click ad banners ala 'is Mr. McMahon really dead' type thing. Vince wanted us to believe that Rikishi ran over Stone Cold with a car (vehicular homicide attempt?) and that Kane was chained to his basement while his brother was playing with embalming fluids and burned the house down (oh yeah, because their dad... who was buried in cement recently... was a mortician and the Undertaker was playing with his work supplies?!?!?!?)
So yeah, I guess I do think that anything is possible within the WWE.

It does sound absurd. Those things were all clear works, besides the McMahon death thing, but that's nothing too shocking. So he dies in a car accident... Yeah, that's in the news a thousand times a year.
A guy going psycho and murdering his wife and children in a reportedly steroid-fueled rage before hanging himself from workout equipment is a massive step too far. If you think that is possibly a work by the WWE, or Benoit for publicity or whatever, then you sir, are the biggest idiot that I have ever known.

About the only time I thought of it being an angle was with Eddie, and that was in part to his lie, cheat, steal gimmick. Maybe a part of me wanted him to show up at 'Mania.
Other than that I thought Vince's angle was in bad taste, as is this thread.

If you read my entire post, you'll know I wasn't only referring to one wrestler's death possibly being a rib so to speak. I was talking about ANY of the many wrestlers deaths in the past few years possibly being a trick. You are singling out Benoit... who probably had the most traumatic events *allegedly* happen. I was asking if ANY of them could have been fake. Benoit (as Chris Candido and Eddie Guerrero) were all used as examples. The poll makes things even more clear.
