No-Xplode, or SuperPump 250??
Which one is better, as reviewed here by my fellow female fitness friends??
Thinking about investing in a tub of this stuff, just wanted to see which one gave the better results!
Thanks!

Superpump 250
There are several supplement logs in the supplement section. Some are pretty detailed.

Well, I hafta say, that I am disappointed in the effects of the No-Xplode.... I've only tried it twice now, and I can not tell a difference! Perhaps I will have to try it out a bit more....
Bah!

I think it is good to give any new supplement at least a week, or two, before measuring its performance and effects.

Do you all take NO Xplode (or similar product) on a cardio day for energy?
Or just use for weight training?
I bought a tub, trying to figure out the best way to use it.
Thanks for your input.

another question about NO Xplode... I've read places that once you start taking it it is really hard to train without it... does anyone have any experience being off of it?

endorush
I have taken both. I didn't like no xplode, made me feel weird. I like superpump, but did not like how bloated it made me feel. I have been using BSN's endorush pre-workout. u get 4 servings in 1 bottle. I like it so far. it tastes great too!

After reading this thread, I went out and got NO xplode. Took it for the first time today and liked it, but today is my "light" day (meaning same weight, less reps and sets). Monday and Tuesday of next week will be the real test as those are my tough days.

I have tried both. I perfer NO Explode. It really depends on how your body accepts the supplement. They have different effects for different people.

I just tried Superpump for the first time and I felt like I had at least 3x's more energy. I was able to run longer at a faster pace on the treadmill and I never felt exhausted during my lifts. I felt so awake and much more attentive. And I only took 3/4 of a scoop.
It kicked in pretty early for me so I'm glad I took it about 20 minutes before hitting the gym as opposed to 30-40 mins like the label suggests.

You do realize at least of one of the products here had to be reformulated because they LIED about was in the product right? Anyway, I truly hope the placebo effect based on a ridiculous amount of caffeine in the product works well for you. That and underdosed products which contain a ridiculous amount of ethyl esters which do nothing more than form ethanol (alcohol) in vivo.

Deserusan - is it safe to take superpump whilst breastfeeding? I'm trying to make a plan for working out again once I've had my baby and am wondering if these sort of things are ok to take to get me back into it.
Thx

Honestly, this would be best answered by your physician. Personally, I would venture out and say no it would not be safe. Since SP contains caffiene and creatine you could possible pass the metabolits (e.g. paraxanthine, creatinine) etc to the child which wouldn't be good.

I have tried multiple products of this sort, and I always return to Superpump. Of all the supplements I have tried, this is the best product ever. I have tried using in on cardio days, and it kinda puts me over the edge and makes it difficult for me. I also had that pumped feeling in my legs when I was running, so I backed off for my cardio days and just use it for my heavy lifting. I can't say enough good things about this product. The gains I see are amazing.
Hey, Des. How goes it?

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm confused about all of this. When I do cardio, I watch my heart rate...and keep it (for the most part) within my heart range. If I take Superpump, will it bring me above my target heart rate zone? Would that be safe? Please help...so confused when people say that a product "gives them an edge" or "blast of energy"....how does that translate to heartrate?

Energy doesnt necessarily mean higher HR, imo. It just means a boost of strengh and energy more likely when you do your weight training. It doesn't give you strenght per say like you wont lift heavier because of taking this product but it will keep you going to not feel so tired, ok this is JUST my opinion based on MY taking SuperPump250 and NO-shotgun, WHICH I like better than SP250 anyways

I can only speak for myself, and what I have found in regards to cardio and any no/caffeine product is that with my usual amount of exertion (say 7.5 speed on the treadmill) my heartrate is much higher, which makes me more tired much faster. I am not sure I said that well. Basically, if I run at the usual speed my endurance is decreased because with the stimulant (SP 250) my heart rate is increased. It makes it more difficult for me. I am not sure these products were developed for cardio. You could as Des that question.
Basically, you should monitor your maximum heartrate when doing any cardio. To find your max heart rate you subtract your age from 220. For me, my max heart rate is 186 because I am 34. Depending on your level of experience with cardio, etc it is okay with going a little bit higher than your max, but that is based on cardiovascular strength and your experience with the way your body feels when your heart rate is higher than your max. Max heart rate is different that your target heart rate based on your goals. If you want to burn fat you do not want your heart rate at your max. You would then be anaerobic. The subject is quite arguable, but check out this link for starters:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerobic_exercise
So, when you take any sort of stimulant, your heart rate is already increased, which makes reaching your max heart rate easily attainable, which in some individuals, can be dangerous -based on fitness level, training (endurance v hiit), etc.

I think you can use any supplement the way you choose. I have used these types of products for cardio, but the results I have had in that regard have been counterproductive. I do however recognize that sometimes even to complete your cardio goals, you sometimes need an extra push. The SP250 is marketed for weight training. The container says something like: produces major pumps, vascularity and explosive workouts...Now as women, we don't necessarily want those things, however, it does support the fact that this is for weight training. I can honestly tell you that you do not want your muscles "pumped" when trying to accomplish any cardio goal. Personally it freaks me out! And makes your legs feel like they each weigh 100 lbs!
