    Calorie target

    I am 18 weeks out from my contest and I am having a hard time finding that caloric ratio right now. I would say I am about 18-19% 140lbs 5'2" I have been using the formula 140x10 or 12. Does that sound about right? 1400-1680? My carbs are around 100 gms and I feel good energy wise at that level. Any lower now and I get cranky.

    I would not so much count calories this far out. A good breakdown for your food would be 50%protein,20%carbs,30% fat. With this ratio you can continue to build muscle while shedding the fat. You will be very surprided how good you feel even though your carbs are low. I would however recommend two carb up meals per week. This will in turn spike your metabolism.
