How much does a decent bench cost?
Well I'm looking for a decent bench, but don't know how much I'm looking at.
The benches I'm finding are of the "Kettler" brand and they cost about $300. Is that a lot?
I'm from Malta so I don't exactly have much choice.

Wow $600 is kinda a lot...
So is this normal that their price is this high? I was thinking of bench+barbell, you know those ones.
Can yours 'decline'? So you can decline bench for example.

Yea, seriously getting it new is WAY too expensive. I'm just gloating because I got it used for cheap
But no it doesn't decline.
I would recommend the super bench. I woulda bought it if I didn't get the above deal:

Then buy a separate power rack. That way you'll not risk getting stuck under the bar when you go to failure.
If getting a combo bench like you describe, make sure to keep in mind some sort of spotting apparatus. Either built in or even using saw horses. I also have used steel cable attached to the barbell from above. The main thing is staying safe while lifting and feeling free to push yourself in safety.

Something like this, if on a budget, would work well:

Keep in mind you may eventually outgrow this style, and want the adj. bench + power rack.

Cheers mate. Repped.
I hope I can find a bench which declines though, as I want to work my lower chest.

Actually I've been reading some articles and it seems decline benching isn't as good as it sounds...

Personally I don't use decline benches. There's alot of extra strain on your lower back when you do decline presses. Additionally if you're interested in filling out your lower pecs, gravity usually takes care of that
I do wish I had a decline bench for plate-twists however, and maybe decline sit ups. But not enough that it justifies taking up space in my small garage!

Yeah that's the reason I've been reading about.

Living in a vacuum sucks
dumbell bench or barbell bench check out craigs list, barbell benches one their all the time for 50-100. If you grab a dumbell bench make sure it's 14-16" in height. I took advice here and grabed a bodycraft bench and the fing thing is 20" for flat, ****s wayy to high to do flat, gonna have to buy a flat dumbell bench now.
what i have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't buy from abroad though, shipping costs make the damn thing MUCH more expensive. I found a shop which sells benches like those posted, and supposedley they aren't highly priced. I went to check it out about an hour ago but the shop was closed.
