What are the benefits of working out two times a day?
How does that work? An example schedule/routine?

Unless you are advanced and can recover from two-a-days, I'd advise against it.
However...
IF you have all day to do nothing but train and eat, you could do a major bodypart in the a.m. such as chest, and then do shoulders and tris in the late afternoon. Take a day off, then do legs by themselves, then take another day off, and do back in the a.m. and bis and forearms in the late p.m. The only guys I've heard of doing that are the pros who are jacked on steroids and have nothing else to do but train--that's their job. Because they ARE on steroids which enhance recovery and growth, they often train 5 or 6 days a week; THEY can get away with it because they're the genetic elite and the juice is a BIIIG help to them. Same with the below example...
Olympic level athletes DO train multiple times a day, but they have all their genetics in place, and training IS their job as well. If you're new to the game and/or just a regular guy with regular genetics/recovery abilities/not taking steroids, you'd probably burn out after a month."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com
"Chivalry isn't dead. It just wears a skirt."--Twisted, the YA gender bender deal of the century!
