ok, I'm going to put this in here because we all screw with our hormones so I thought some of you educated bros could chime in. If MIB or any other mod thinks it's retarded and has no business here feel free to pull it. This has to do with my girlfriend. I'm going to list the "symptons"
1) NO sex drive (sucks cuz I'm on test , been beating off like a spider monkey)
2) VERY tired, I mean sleeps 10+ a night during the week and 13+ on the weekends, literally 45-50% of the time.
3) MOODY to beat hell
4) Losing weight despite wrecking her diet as of late with more fast food and sh!t snacking
5) NO MOTIVATION, if she has to get her a** off the couch she's b!tching about it.
6) Been going on for at least 8 months
This sounds hormone related to me. So far we have had a blood test, short of a hormone panel (yeah I know, brilliant but I wasn't there), everything 'looked' fine according to her GP. We've tried St. Johns Wort, Iron, caffeine to keep her awake, even bought a new king bed wondering if it was quality, not quantity. Now she just sleeps more soundly for amazingly long periods of time. She drinks very little alcohol, is about 18-20% BF with good muscle tone, overall very good shape, played D1 volleyball so not a stranger to the gym. She is also on Yasmin birth control.
What do you guys think? I know MOST of us aren't doctors, and she is talking with her gyno (yucky word) and GP more about it, but I still want everyones opinion. I'm fit to be tied. Any other suggestions on things to try, or things to ask the docs?

It could be a million different things. A proper blood test needs to be done to check hormone levels, otherwise it's just speculation. Could just be good old fashioned depression. Like I said, anything anyone says here is just speculation and you guys should really be concentrating on the doctors.
Kinda sounds like the symptoms my wife had for the year she was taking Yasmin. No period also.

There are TONS of birth control that will lower testosterone levels, alot do, and women NEED testosterone as it ups there sex drive JUST like men, I think yasmin is actually a lower testosterone birth control. Ask your doctor for a higher testosterone birth control. Ellse? Eylese? whatever that is one of them I believe. As I got my gf to switch her BC as well.

we are, as I stated, she is in contact with her gyno and GP to discuss the next steps. I am asking to see what experiences and opinions you guys have had.
I honestly don't think it's depression, she is moody around crimson tide time, but honestly what woman isn't, other than she is pretty happy and is successful. Her GP was thinking depression too, which we of course address if necessary, but I also think the gyno and birth control is an angle that makes more sense for her.

just know she is on yasmin, which is a higher estrogen bc than the new yaz. Also found this....

Yasmin contains 3 mg drospirenone and 30 mcg ethinylestradiol per tablet. It is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect an oral contraceptive.
Yasminelle contains 3 mg drospirenone and 20 mcg ethinylestradiol per tablet and is used for contraception.
Yaz contains 3 mg drospirenone and 20 mcg ethinylestradiol per tablet and is given for 24/4 days with the same indications.

Ah that seems like a big problem just like n4cer said bro, The testoterone ones are best period. Ask your doctor for sure when you go back about a higher testosteorne birth control and her sex drive is low thats exactly what we did and problem solved. they usually got a chart and honestly some are WAY under half the testosterone than some of them and my wife had 0 sex drive to. now shes normal again for awhile.
women with low testosterone will show signs of depression like men and low sex drive, obviously they dont need to get a erection LOL but testosterone is stil lthere libido booster.

hey bro my girl just started using that ring thing u put in there and leave and its working great, sex drive is higher than ever. i dont know quite how it works but it seems like it wouldnt mess with hormones quite as much, it just releases something in there where she cant get prego.

Ha that is an interesting perspective for sure. This girl doesn't like to take any meds she doesn't have to, literally afraid it will screw her up, can't imagine her even smoking weed...but you never know for sure! We are selling the place so with people looking at it we keep it clean.

There's your answer right there. Research Birth Control and you will see that all the symptoms you listed are those of birth control.
And your assumption is also correct. Hormones get changed drastically when on birth control. I suggest either a new pill or new form of birth control.
EDIT: LOL, just read through thread and I realize this has been said many times. Like others have said, change birth control. May have spotting issues at first (like three months), but if you get the right pill, she will come back to normal.
