JOEL STUBBS MR O Material?
Do you guys think he can be Mr Olympia 1 day? If he brings his legs up, i heard something about him having knee problems and cant train legs properly. His biceps are massive and back is probably 1 of the best.

If this were the late 70s or early 80s, he'd have enough to maybe win but this is 2008 and you need relatively complete development.

If he can bring his legs up to par, fa sho. One of the best upper bods in the ifbb. As far as backs go, no one equals.

Definitely. But bringing up his legs is easier said than done. There's no debating though that he's a force when we're talking about upper body development. He's also the widest IFBB professional out there along side Ruhl, hands down. But would he be Mr. Olympia material if his legs were brought up to be on par with the best? I'd say OF COURSE.

He'll never have a chance with the weak wheels.
Now with his injury that obviously caused the problem.
Not saying he can't bring them up, but don't think they will ever be in proportion to his awesome back that beats almost every pro ever on stage.

I don't believe in looking into the future when it comes to any sport. Injuries and other variables always play a part. That is why you have to get it done today. NOt 3-6 years down the road.

More pictures..
As you can see by these pictures, his leg development isn't anywhere near his upper body, unfortunately. But not much can be done about it, especially considering his age (Included is a picture of him next to Quincy Taylor)

He's already 40 or 41 and unfortunately the legs will never fill out with that much damage to the attachments. Needless to say amazing upper body.

Um, nobody said he neglected his legs. When us "people" are saying it's "sad", we are referring to the fact that he had to sustain injuries that prevented him from developing his legs to their full potential. It's obvious he's worked very hard and put a lot of work into his physique. Otherwise, we wouldn't be talking about him having had the potential to be Mr. Olympia or at least making the top spots at the Mr. Olympia.

Wow, crazy upper body development. He seems to be the reverse Brewer, dominant upper body and lacking legs. He's got some of the biggest delts I think I've seen and huge width to his back.

Building A Beast
Stubbs will never be Mr. O or win the Arnold and maybe never even win a pro show. I'm sure he would be thrilled if that were to happen, however his victory has already come in the form of being able to overcome devasting injuries and still be able to step on stage with the big boys.
His leg development will never be on par with the standards necessary to present a complete and balanced physique. He knows this. We know this. He is comfortable with his limitations and is working hard to not use injuries as excuse. Rather, he is making the most of what he has and doing what he enjoys.
How many of us would do that versus sit around and bitch about our injuries and boast about what could've been?

Ok guys. Listen. You're all very nice to constantly think everyone with a cool bodypart is Mr. O material, but the O is the Super Bowl of bodybuilding, it's the very top. Please. Seriously. Show some restraint.
First let him win a title, then the IronMan, maybe the Arnold. Then talk O. K?
