does any north jersey miscers know a good gym near the clifton area (rt 3, rt 46)???

i was part of la fitness but its way too packed there.
also part of planet fitness but cant even lift there.

i actually contemplated going to that lil "rocky" gym under the holiday inn on rt 46.

please i need a gym, preferable $40 and down, with the essentials, squat rack, bench, barbells, thats not packed beyond belief.

If you want to travel a little further up you just described the gym I belong to. $90 (1 time) initiation fee. $35 month thereafter. Garage grunge-old school gym. If you want fancy you want to go someplace else. It's in Morris County but I work in Fairfield and make it there in 45 minutes during rush hour after work so it's not to far. Also open to 9 pm most nights if you like to go later and avoid the traffic.

NOT Retro Fitness in Belleville haha. MrSilverback can probably vouch for Signature Fitness. I've heard great things about that gym from him and a few of my friends and coworkers

Retro isn't really that bad if all you're looking for are free weights. I go in the morning when it's dead so I don't have problems. After around noon you're pretty screwed though since it's such a small gym with so many members. Takes ages just to get the right set of dumbbells
