Smile New exercise (to me) I am doing...

I bought a "large" tricep bar from NY Barbells recently. One of the heavy duty ones. Then I was watching some of the older Strongman competitions. The lift they do called the "log lift" I believe. I am adding this as my Monday routine from now on. It is like a clean and press over your head. Man, I did this last night and I am feeling it today. 3 sets of 10 and then 3 sets of chins. Just a great upper body thrashing. Just FYI...

Hey thunderchild......

I started a 'clean & press' thread a month or two ago since I had decided to add to those, by themselves, on a Friday.

Like you, I started doing 3x10 (with a whopping 110#) and I was fried after the workout.
In this thread I'm referencing above it was suggested to me for these to lower the reps to about 6 rather than 10.
I do 3x10 for all other muscle groups though.

Just thought I would throw this out so other experts may chime in and qualify the reasoning again.

Good luck on your quest.
