MuscleTech: 85 Days - The Quest for Mass II ($50,000 Transformation Contest)
Here we go again...Round 2
At first I wanted to post this in the Supplement Log Section.
After several delays...here we are at "our" new home section - Workout Journals.
I feel as though I have more freedom in this section.
We will be posting supplements, diets, workouts, and anything else pertinent.
Read, lurk, post and enjoy!
...

Some History...
For those that do not know who I am...
I am Fisher33
My first log was called "MuscleTech: 100 Days - The Quest for Mass"
It was fairly popular (as of now it has about 39,519 views) Click the link here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4768923
I stacked a lot of MT products together and got pretty decent results, I gained over 27lbs. 18-20lbs were lean muscle mass.
Progress pics
In January of this year, I injured both knees. At first I thought it was just a muscle injury, came to realize it was a joint injury as well
I stopped lifting a)to give myself a break & b)to rehab my knees.
To make a long story short...I got fat again.

Along comes a contest...
I got word that BodyBuilding.com was going to host a MuscleTech Transformation contest
Just what I needed for a little motivation!
SpartanPrincess decided that she wanted to get involved and so did her mother.
And so it begins...
All that has been before, is just prologue...
All three of us will be posting our workouts, diet and supplements.
The contest started for us on March 24th 2008. But everything up until now has just been a warm-up. The real battle starts Thursday morning.
SpartanPrincess has a major test to take this Wednesday, so she will be out of the game until Thursday!
Let the Transformation kick into high gear!!!

Tomorrow is the big day!
All of our training "officially" begins tomorrow April 24th, 2008!
Since March 24th everything has just been a warm-up.
I've been trying to rehab my knees, while preparing my system for intense cardio and getting my joints, muscles and tendons use to the stress of weight.
I've been monitoring Momma-G's heart rate very carefully since she is not familar with this kind of a workout.
And The Princess...well, she is doing all that she can to tone up a little.
7:30 am -Training Session- with Momma-G
The Princess and I will train after 3:30pm when she gets off work.

Supplements...
You find "great" gains with the anabolic halo lol. So if you by any chance dont see the gains that you saw last time, its because of the supplement swap. But besides that, good luck to you all, and i cant wait to see your results at the end of your journey.

Fisher - interesting looking journal with 3 people. I'll be following.
Good news that your knees are doing better. Are you taking anything for them? How did you injure them?

Thanks for following!
Knee injury - I work part time at The Ephrata Rec (my gym).
While at The REC, I was training a team of 10 people for our Biggest Looser Contest. I did group cycling for the first time(spin class), and my bike was not set up properly for me. I had pain, but chalked it up to just doing something new.
Well I did it again a week later and really felt a whole new world of pain. Only then did I realize that the bike had not been set up properly for me.
Now some people might wonder how I injured my self riding a stationary bike?
It was an intense workout, and it happened both times when I was "out of the saddle", meaning not sitting on the seat, my full weight on my legs/knees, all 230 lbs of me!

I started taking a product that contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM about 6 weeks ago.
I have also started taking Pycnogenol. I will discuss both of those supps more in depth, a little later on.

I'm going to talk about my supplements soon.
But as far as gains, I will make them. End of story.
No...maybe, no...I hope for, just...I WILL!
Glad to see your along for the ride(again)!

Let's talk about supplements...
I'll get this out of the way now.
I will be taking more supplements then I ever have before.
That being said...
Let me state my opinion on supplements:
Supplements do not guarantee anything.
(except a shortage of money)
There is no magic pill or potion.
Taking more supplements does not equal more gains!
Period.
Supplements are called supplements for a reason.
Supplements only supplement the hard work, diet, rest and sleep that you do.
Yes, you must actually do something to gain a reward.
I will be taking more supplements because I will be working harder then I ever have in my life!
$50,000 is on the line, and I am going to do what ever it takes to win it.
(steroids, pro hormones, etc not included in above statement)
I will be using MuscleTech supplements as well as other non MuscleTech supplements.
I will only use a product other then MuscleTech, if MuscleTech does not make an equivalent. When I say equivalent, I mean exactly that(equal to).
For instance, MuscleTech does not make a Beta Alanine product.
They have products with Beta Alanine in it, but not just Beta Alanine.
So I will be experimenting with Beta Alanine for the first time, and yes it will not be MuscleTech.
The same goes for Nitro-Tech Hardcore, a great protein powder.
I will be using it, but not exclusively. There are times when I just want whey protein with nothing else added.
MuscleTech cannot supply me with a product that just has whey protein.
(Anyway I think you all get it)

Beta Alanine is some pretty powerful stuff dude lol. Just make sure you dont overdose on it. You will know when it goes to work as soon as you start to get a rush to your head.
