    looking for some advice....

ok, so here's the deal. i'm 23 and i am currently a full time teacher. while not the greatest career choice, it definitely pays the bills and it gives me alot of time off. i only work 180 days of the year. with all this time off, i've been thinking about a second income. i've always enjoyed working out and have learned a lot about it from knowlegeable friends.

so basically, i'm wondering if personal training is something i could get into for a second income. if i enjoyed it enough, maybe even retire from teaching early and try and make it a career.

can you guys offer me any advice. where do i begin? what is the first certification i should get. how many certifications do i need to gain some respect. really any advice on getting a start as a trainer would be great. thanks in advance.

I'm currently enrolled in NFPT and they have a certification for weight training, nutrition, and endurance training. When you complete all of these they give you whats called the "master certification" which will pretty much guarantee you a job quickly. Its not like you need to spend a lot of money to get it, my program was only 500. It will make you a lot more money than that and I think if you enjoy it you should go for it.
