Appetite Loss???
I'm not sure if any one else is experiencing a loss of appetite. But lately I find myself pretty much just forcing myself to eat because I know I should. And trust me, this is not normal for me. I used to be an emotional eater so I'm definitely not the type to not want to eat.
I started eating much healthier towards the end of January and then for the last two months I have been eating completely clean. I even cut out splenda because I didn't want to put artificial sweeteners into my body.
I guess my question is....Should I be concerned about this? If I'm not hungry but I need to eat in order to get calories, what's the best thing to eat? I've pretty much just making myself have more protein shakes! Also, I typically eat about 7 times a day but when I add it up it's still between 1200-1500 but lately I've been struggling to want to eat 1200 calories a day. What's wrong with me????

I go through that from time to time...it's at it's worst when my body is adjusting to the temperature rising. Just keep eating as much as what you're supposed to as possible.
Also, endurance cardio can kill your appetite...overtraining can too. You may need to rethink your routine if you think one of those things might be the culprit.
Sugar can stimulate appetite, so you might want to think about adding things that are nutritious but naturally sweet (pineapple, honey) to your diet to see if that helps any. Temporarily upping your fats (avacado, egg whites, olive oil, flax seeds, red meat, salmon) will help you at least squeeze some extra calories in while your appetite is low. I'm pretty sure if you keep trying to eat, that your appetite will return, though.

I find any type of preworkout stims, or cutting agents totally kill my appetite. Do you take anything like that? Even coffee can kill mine.

WOW!!! I thought I was the only one who was experiencing this. I used to have a ravenous appetite and since I started eating healthy in 1/08, I find I have to force feed myself. I do consume a fairly large amount of splenda and drink about 2-3 cups of coffee/day. I always thought that SS Cardio gave you an appetite and HIIT Cardio killed it. Any form of exercise seems to kill my appetite. Perhaps upping the fat may help! I'll be trying it too.

I've always been a coffee drinker, but it never really affected me since I've been consistently drinking it for so long. I usually only drink it in the morning and I usually work out at night. I think I'm going to get some natural peanut butter and add that to my protein shakes and also something with natural sugars and see how my body reacts. I just know I need to do something because I will force myself to eat and then calculate at the end of the day and its around 1000 calories so then I force myself to eat again. I just don't want my metabolism to slow down! I don't think I can give up coffee....I might be able to try switching to green tea but I don't know. Its the one thing I allow myself to have.

Maybe it's the HIIT! I totally changed the way i do cardio. I used to do 2 sessions of 45 minutes to an hour. But now I just do 20-30 minutes of HIIT a day. Let me know how adding the fat works for you. I need to go to the store!

Just to clarify...adding some fat is just to sneak in some calories if you can't find any other way to manage it until your appetite comes back.
