How the Hell is ZERO CARBS Possible???
Ok, so this is my 2nd week on keto. I think I'm adjusting but how the hell do you do ZERO carbs?! I've been trying to stay under 20 but need some advice here... I mean, everything has carbs in it...nuts, peanut butter, veggies, my low carb whey protein, even eggs (only 1 carb)! And this adds up throughout the day! I drink only water and coffee but if I get hungry I grab some raw almonds -1/4 cup is 6 carbs! I tried only straight protein, and got pretty clogged up (if ya know what I mean) so I go take some Fiber chewables...and guess what, 4 carbs for 2 tablets!!! Wtf...someone please advise.

zero carb is not necessary on keto...
And don't forget its net carbs, so subtract your fiber from your carbs = your carbs
so the nuts will actually have less, as well as your fiber tabs will not be anything probably.
Get some veggies in there if you're getting clogged up

Depends on you really, you can go throughout the whole day eating pretty low carb. Zero carb isn't really good for you, and it's near impossible.

Don't forget coffee has carbs as well - I think three teaspoons of instant powder has 1g carbs.

zero carbs is no worse for you than low carbs. ie its fine.
PS its not near impossible, it just requires more discipline. basically eating flesh only.

Couldn't say any better than beej. Zero carbs take some getting used to, but for those who can endure it, they will reap the benefits. The lower you drop your carbs, the more you will be able to control and drop insulin levels. Insulin keeps fat trapped within fat cells. So if your insulin levels are high, fat loss may be diffcult because the body can't tap those fat cells.

Agreed. If you find yourself having a hard time eating strictly chicken, beef, and fish, dont worry, you can have 20-30 net carbs a day. Net carbs meaning impact carbs(not including fiber) and not including your post workout carbs.
Dont count carbs from eggs, BTW. Some sites have them wrong as eggs do not contain moer than .2-.3 per XL egg.
If you like just beef/steak, chicken, fish, and pork, by all means go for it. I, personally, love eating almonds, broccoli, etc.. so while I may have net carbs, Im still losing weight.

I did less then 25 net grams for about 6 months. After 2 or 3 weeks, you adjust. It's not that hard, really. You just have to give up a lot.

i thought the same thing at first but like Beej said it takes discipline and like SSpiro said it just takes some adjusting too, after a week or 2 you fall into the habit and love it...bacon steak and chicken everyday, simply amazing...oh and my favorite skippy natty pb!
just stick with it, you will get used to it.

Negative.
The carbs in a coffee drink come from the milk/dairy/sugar/flavoring.
Straight black coffee is 0 carb.
