Implants- I'm planning on getting them this year. For those of you who have them, what can you tell me about them? I want to know everything, especially the things pertaining to women in fitness. I am less than an A right now but plan on keeping my look as natural as possible, while still giving myself some womanly curves. All of your input is greatly appreciated!

Implants- expensize(remember, its not just getting them for cost) if something goes wrong, you will have to go back. If they dont 'drop' properly, if ur body refuses them it can make u very sick. = more $$$$. Dont just save for the surgery, save more cash. even if u have to save it for 6-10 years, when u will be getting them replaced or taken out for good.
you will probably gain weight the first 2-3 weeks from the meds for the pain, and sleeping alot...not being able to work out...eating comfort food, etc. You really really need to research your doctor, as I have worked in a strip club for sometime and that seems to be the number 1 mistake. personally, i havent had them done because they are a bad investment..and working in clubs im seen some F-d UP warzone boobs! ..but i still want them so bad. Good luck and im sorry if this is obvious advice.
ETA- sry didnt see the site under me...good site alot of girls i know used it before getting their boobays done!*Phillies*

I had implants in febuary of 2006. My surgeon was very conservative and only put 345 cc saline implants in each breast. I had minimal pain, and was out of bed walking around after 24 hrs. I couldn't do any any cardio for two weeks, but after that, I was able to walk and do the bike. No lifting for 6 wks. My pain was minimal, I was only prescribed tylenol#3 and only took about 8 of them during my whole recovery. My implants are over the muscle, my surgeon stated that under the muscle implants can tear more easily. My breasts look very natural (I actually wish they were a little more "fake" looking. They cost me about $7000. That was for all office visits, the surgery, and anesthesia. But not for preop testing which my insurance covered. I know people who have had implants and so far no one has had as easy of a recovery as I have had. I think it has a lot to do with the size of the implants. Just make sure you do your research and have no less than three consults from different surgeons. good luck :-P

I agree with trainwithrae. Especially with the going bigger than you intend. I'm happy with mine, but honestly, I would not have paid $7000 if I knew what they would end up looking like now. They look better than the deflated balloons but I still have to wear a bra all the time. had I gotten bigger implants I probably could go without a bra.

i just don`t get it
i know guys are not supposed to be in here but.....someone pls tell me why the implants are sooooo outrageously popular. i can understand why some women would have a use for them. some would need them because of having one or both removed because of cancer. some may have severe self worth issues because of extremely small breasts etc. but most just get them because they think they look good, or because they think other people think they look good. well i am only one man, but i am one man who would never advise getting them unless absolutely necessary.
i will admit that for some, (if they are not over done) it can enhance their appearance with clothes on, or with a swimsuit on. but let`s be honest....in a swimsuit or without clothes on, it is obvious (in most cases) that they are fake. how does that make you feel better about yourself ???
i have seen a fair number of women with implants. and i would say that a very very small number of them actually look good. the vast majority that i have seen are obvious fakes and to be honest, without clothes on, they look ridiculous.
we have all seen the "celebrity of the day" when she shows up on t.v. or in a magazine and seems to have amazingly had a significant increase in her bra size, or has somehow had her nose shrunk, or (even worse) has developed "Angelina Jolie lips". does anyone ever look at them and say, "wow....doesn`t she look great!!" i don`t think so. most people laugh. most of my friends shake their heads and say, "what the hell is wrong with people."
sorry for the rant......but i have a few friends who keep talking about doing it. and quite frankly it pisses me off!! they are beautiful, intelligent women who can`t stop thinking that somehow their lives will be better if they had bigger boobs!!! gimme me a break!!!
ladies, here`s a tip.....most men love women just the way they are. we don`t like anorexic (spelling??), skinny, runway model types. and we don`t all want our women to be something they`re not. and i think if you are doing it to make yourself feel better, you should think again. it is not the answer.
i guess i just don`t get it !!!

I had 475cc, saline, unders and I wish I would have gone bigger as well. I found this website to be useful when I was doing my research: http://www.implantinfo.com/-Val-

A friend of mine in the states is getting hers done soon. She spoke with a few surgeons and somehow stumbled upon a trial being done. Not sure if she pays or gets them free (I think she pays) but they pay her $1800 a year for 10 years and the FDA are giving them rave reviews. They are supposed to be the most realistic looking/feeling but are also the most expensive. They are called gummy bear implants. If you like I can email her and see if there's some info I can pass on to you. I am interested but I believe it's only available in the states I will email her.

I had to get a redo because I was unhappy with the initial implants, too small for my frame, I didn't want Pam implants but I didn't want a gap between them because of my ribcage.
The only reason I got them is because I was a AA and nothin pretty and perky about that.MuscleTech Sponsored Athlete

I couldn't imagine getting implants, but I have toyed with the idea of a lift (developed very early plus weight loss from a 40D to a 34C wasn't nice to the sisters, lol).I may be the odd gal out here, but I couldn't see myself in my 70's, or possibly older with the longevity in my family, with everything else being "matured" and still have 25 yr old boobs....but I over-think everything, lol.
