Dark-colored pee
My pee has been really dark lately. I have been eating a lot of protein, but not a lot of carbs. I am not on a ketogenic diet, however, because I keep my fat intake at a moderate to low level. I also drink a ridiculous amount of water. I think that my dark urine is because of my protein intake. Has anyone else experienced this? What does it mean and why is it happening?

Do you take a multi? and if you do, what kind of meal do you take it with? Sometimes, if vitamins are not taken with food, the vitamins will pass right through you. Or if you take them with the "wrong" food the same thing will happen

wellll last time that happened to me i had dark urine for about 3-4 weeks then doubled over in pain at work one day and had to go to the ER. turned out i had a kidney stone (which sucked balls) and i was actually pissing old dried blood for thoes 3-4 weeks. i was taking whey protien at the time and drinking a lot of green tea at work so not sure as to what exactly caused it. i stopped drinking both and luckily the stone disolved and i didnt have to pass it. not sure how it is with women but my manhood was actually hurting as the 3rd week approached and i thought it was bladder spazms that ive had before so i took some urecid(sp) which usually makes your pee turn colors within the first day. i had some left over from my last episode and took it but didnt change color for a few days. that should have told me right off the bat to go to the doctor but i didnt...

id say kidney stone or too much protein if you use powder, i had a friend that took too much protein and his was dark. if it was because of vitamins itd be yellow to green not dark

A low-fat keto? What % of your daily cal-intake is protein?
Also, I believe excessive protein can cause cloudy urine so I imagine it could cause a darker color. If it persists (and you're still drinking tons of h2o) I'd go get some blood/urine tests from the doc.
